Improving Quality of Life

Survivors find it hugely beneficial to have a safe space where they can spend time with other survivors, to be themselves without having to explain what it is like living with the effects of their injury.

Our Wellbeing Centres provide this and so much more.  With Rehab Assistants on hand to support, clients take part in a range of activities that benefit their cognitive, emotional and physical functioning and continued good health and wellbeing.

Loneliness is a thing of the past as people build friendships and enjoy social interactions with others who understand. Rehab Assistants can also assist with practical challenges such as changes to benefits, booking health appointments, and avoiding crisis.

How We Help

'I want to thank everyone at Headway Somerset.

They have all played an enormous part in my partners continuing recovery from his brain injury. We live in a rural location and there is not really anything in our village for them. As their partner I often feel bad that they spend much of their week alone in the house. Knowing that every Monday they are going to the Wellbeing Centre, and the joy and confidence it gives them gives me so much reassurance.

It's your staff at Headway Somerset who set it apart! They are exceptional in facilitating the sessions, making everyone feel valued and empowering them all in their unique journeys'.
